Robert W. Barrows Sr., 72, of Homer NY passed away February 15, 2018 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 25, 1945 in Cortland the son of the late Ernest and Genevieve Krueger Barrows. Robert was raised and educated in Groton graduating from Groton High School. He was an avid movie buff having been employed at many of the local movie theatres including the Plaza Theatre and Airport Drive In. His most recent employment had been with Buckbee Mears. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, building clocks, and caring for his fish tanks. He is survived by his wife of 37 yrs. Terry Barrows, his sons Robert W. Barrows Jr., Brian R. (Tamara) Congdon, Eric LeRoy (Angela Marsh) Barrows, Brian Barrows, his daughters Santana (Kevin) Walker, Tammy Patterson, eight grandchildren, his brother Ronald (Barbara) Barrows, his brother in law Gerald Holden Sr., many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Robin Barrows, sister Carol Holden, and infant brother Bruce Barrows. Calling hours will be Wednesday 1-2:45 pm with a funeral service to begin 3 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave.,, Cortland NY, 13045.
