Lois Lintern Miller It is with great sadness the family of Mrs. Lois Miller announces her passing on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 95 years of age. The daughter of the late Ernest and Marie Russell Lintern, she was a 1939 graduate of McGraw High School and lived her life in the area. In 1951 she became of bride of Ray Ellis Miller and they had three children; Jerri Ann, Debra Rae and Charles Ellis. From a musical family, Lois traveled many years with country bands, playing the accordion and singing and will be remembered as the square dance caller. Later she was joined by her sisters Agnes and Jean and sang with local big bands, billed as The Lintern Sisters Trio. In 1984 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Cortland Country Music Park and in 2000 was chosen one of only 10 women to be honored by her Women of the Moose Lois was the faithful musician for the W.O.T.M. for 65 years. Besides music, her hobbies were bowling, camping, boating and she was an avid fan of all auto racing and SU basketball. Most of all was her loving devotion to her family. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include daughter Jerri (George) Duane, son Charles (Pam Winn), granddaughters Amee Harris, Stacie Kellaway and 2 great-granddaughters, Alexandria and Alissa Kellaway. Lois is also survived by her sisters Jean Stoker and Agnes DiLucci, Brothers-in-law Dwight Short and Paul Stoker and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her beloved husband Ray, sisters Doris and Jeanette, brother Ernie, daughter Debra, mother-in-law Marguerite Cinquanti, brother and sister in law Rex and Barbara Miller, brothers-in-law Albert DiLucci and Byron Miller. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland with burial to follow in McGraw Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 t0 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cortland Country Music Park, P O Box 402, Cortland NY 13045 or to the charity of one's choice.
