Obituary of Theresa A. Bishop

Theresa A. Bishop, 78, of Bell Ln. McLean passed away Friday July 10 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 20, 1930 in Piercefield, NY, the daughter of the late Felix and Dora LaDuke Norman. She has been a longtime resident of the area. She graduated from Holy Cross Academy, class of 1949 in Tupper Lake. Theresa worked for SCM for over 25 years. Her hobbies included camping, cooking, baking, and the outdoors, but her greatest joy was taking care of her children and grandchildren. Theresa is survived by her daughter Susan (David) Cornell of NC, sons Steven (Judith) of Sempronius, Richard (Judy) of GA, Randal (Marilyn) of Cortland, Timothy (Carla) of McLean, sister Alice Grainger of Greene, NY, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday July 18 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Interment will follow at McLean Cemetery. A calling hour will be held 1-2 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers in Theresa's name may be directed to the Tompkins Co. HOSPICE, 138 Cecil A Malone Dr., Ithaca, NY 14850.
