Obituary of Sara Carman

Sara Carman, 39, of McDonough, NY passed away on Saturday July 29, 2023. She was born on February 9, 1984 in Montour Falls. Sara was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was a caring person who put everyone before herself, especially her family. Sara also loved her cat deeply. She didn't like driving alone, and if she couldn't take her children with her, she would take her cat. She enjoyed camping, fishing, campfires and just being outdoors. Sara loved traveling around to different places during the year, including the Adirondacks during Autumn for the Fall foliage, the racetracks during the summer, and Lights on the Lake during the winter. Sara was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Sara is survived by her husband Christopher Carman, her children Christopher Carman, Paige Carman, Elizabeth Carman, and Alexis Carman, her father Gary Root, her brother Max Root, her uncles Terry (Janet) Reynolds and Gary (Marsha) Reynolds, her step brother Clifford "Bud" (Jackie Nye) Jr., her step sister Cherise (Alex) Stone, her sister-in-law Amy (Patrick) Phelps, her brother-in-law Aaron (Ashley) Carman, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Sharon and Cliff Carman, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sara is predeceased by her mother Kaye Reynolds. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 9, 2023 from 12pm-6pm at Yaman Park in Cortland.
