Obituary of Barbara Burton

Barbara Burton, 67, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born on March 13, 1956, the daughter of Beverly (Harris) and Fred Whetstone. Barbara was born and raised in Cortland, NY. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She spent her professional life in Cortland at Pall Trinity, Cornell Cooperative Extension, McNeil Insurance, and the JM Murray Center. In later years, she loved her dogs, enjoyed local travel to Alexandria Bay and Skaneateles, and tending to a growing forest of plants. Above all, she loved her family. Barbara is survived by her husband of 34 years, Brad, her son, Ian, and her sister, Sandra. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
