Vera Mae josephine Hasenjager, 71, of Cortland NY , passed away June 12, 2009 at the Groton Nursing Home. She was born July 3, 1937 in San Diego CA, the daughter of the late Austin & Vera Scott Demeree. Vera had lived in California before relocating to Masonville and then Cortland in 1957. She graduated from SUNY Delhi. While living locally, she was employed by Smith Corona Corp. for over 29 yrs., then with Rubbermaid for 4 yrs, and finished her working career with Marietta corp. She is survived by her daughters Heather (Jeffrey) Fairchild of Cortland NY, Kim Hasenjager of Groton NY, Heidi Hasenjager of McGraw NY, sisters Lena Barns of North Carolina, Lina Demeree of Delaware, 6 grandchildren, Miranda Fairchild, Jeffrey and Scott Dexter, Dakota, Cheyenne and Logan Malison, nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her parents and brother Harry Demeree. Services are being held at the convenience of the family.
