Dolores "Dee" I. Thompson, 78, formerly of homer passed away June 24, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 9, 1931 in Noxen NY, the daughter of the late George & Dorothy Traver Miller. She has been a longtime resident of the Cortland area. Her memberships included the Women of the Moose and Women's International Bowling Congress. Dee was an avid bear collector. She loved painting lawn ornaments and crocheting for friends and family. For many years you could find her camping at Forest Lake in Truxton. Dee is survived by her sons Frederick (Eileen) Fuller of Conn., Grant (Claudia) Fuller of Union Valley, Richard Fuller of McGraw NY, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, siblings Betty Daugherty, Jean Kany, Charlotte (Dwayne) Holmes, Dottie(Ron) Carr, Shirley (Harold) Chamberlain, Linda Miller, Robert (Jean) Miller, John (Marilyn) Miller, sister-in-law Iris Miller, many nieces and nephews. She was preleased by her husband Elmer Thompson in 1990, a step-son Roland Thompson, brothers George (Betty) Miller and Voyal (Beaver) Miller, sister Alice Locke. Calling hours will be held 5-7 pm Friday June 27 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. A graveside service will be held 9 am Sat. at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Archie Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores's name may be directed to Caring Community HOSPICE of Cortland Co., 11 Kennedy Pkwy., Cortland, NY 13045, or a charity of ones choice.
