Obituary of Susan Gleason

Susan Sue Gleason, 46, of Cortland NY, passed away March 8, 2010. She was born April 6, 1963 in Cortland, daughter of the late Thomas & Lois Smith. Sue was raised in Groton, graduating from Groton High School in 1982. After graduation she moved to Texas, then returned to the area in 1988. Sue had worked as a real estate agent for Yaman Real Estate, Warren Real Estate, and most recently was employed with Intertek Industries. She also worked as a bartender for various local business. She is survived by her son Mitchell Gleason of Cortland, sister Theresa (Kevin) Allen of Texas, brother Thomas Smith Jr. of Texas, grandfather Harold Slim Cargill of Groton, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Sue was predeceased by her sister Michelle Smith. A calling hour will be held Friday 1-2 pm with a funeral to begin 2 pm at the Wright- Beard Funeral Home Inc 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY 13045. Spring burial will be held at the Groton Cemetery. She was a bright light at the end of the tunnel always showing her "sunny" smile. She knew how to live life to its fullest. I am sending all my love and comfort to the family, and especially to her son Mitchell whom she loved and adored so much, who are also suffering during this time.
