Edward Andrews, 89, of Cortland passed away April 16 at his home. He was born June 18, 1920 in Truxton, the son of the late Clinton and Louise Trumbell Andrews. He was a longtime resident of the Cincinnatus area. Ed served in WWII with the Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He also worked for Champion Sheet Metal for a number of years. He then became a rural mail carrier until his retirement. Ed is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Margery Fish Andrews, brothers William, Harold, and Elwyn, sister Pauline Preston. Funeral services will be held Sat. April 24 at 11 am at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery immediately following. A calling hour will be held 10-11 am prior. Contributions in Edwards name may be directed to Caring Community HOSPICE of Cortland Co., 11 Kennedy Pkwy., Cortland.
