Harvey was a great guy. We had some good times at CHS and back in the day as baseball umpires. Rest in peace old friend. Jim Ochsner Fort Myers FL Dear Joan and Healey Family, We were shocked and saddened to read about Harvey's Passing. We joked a lot over the years we lived in Homer and recently on Facebook about our both being Steelers fans and about Penn State vs. Syracuse. He will be missed. Sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers going your way. Sincerely, Ken and Sue Jones Dear Mrs. Healey and family, Please accept my sincere condolences on Mr. Healey's passing. He was my 8th grade Social Studies teacher, and I think, homeroom teacher, the first year he started at Cortland. After scaring us (or at least me)the very first day with his military ways, ("Line those desks up on the right cork tile!"), I discovered a human being and excellent teacher underneath. I even babysat for you until my family moved away after my Ninth Grade year. It is never easy to lose a loved one. May you feel the support of family and friends around you as you mourn and grieve. May God hold you in the palm of His hand as you adjust to this loss, and may loving memories of times shared sustain you. Sincerely, Bea (childhood nickname: Beattie)Barfoot Legere CHS Class of 1963. Mr. Healey was a favorite of mine, both as a teacher and coach. More importantly, he was a wonderful person who cared about his students. My thoughts and prayers are with the Healey family. Sincerely, Mike Kovalchik Mr. Healey was my teacher at CHS in the 1959-1960 school year, and I will never forget him; he used to say "Cork Tile" at the end of class to direct us to straighten our desks. Sudee Sanders Joan--So very sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you in your time of sorrow. Jack and Carole Wood Dear Joan I was so sorry to read of Harvey's passing. I remember all the good times at SU and golf outings at Cortland. You're remembered in our prayers. Chuck and Mary Ann Zimmerman To our longtime family friends, Joan, Nancy, John, and Judy: My family offers its deepest sympathy for the passing of a really great guy, your husband and Dad, Harv. He was a fixture and presence in our youth and a close friend of our parents, Fred and Lorry. We will not forget our fond memories of him. God bless Harv, The Janke Family Our sympathies to Joan and her family. I speak for the group of guys that arrived at Syracuse in the fall of 1952. Harv was great guy with a dynamic personality. That smile could conquer anything. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts & prayers are with your family. God bless Harv. Tom Richardson
