Obituary of Anw Partis

Andrew David Partis, 41, of Cortland, N.Y., passed away Friday December 9, 2011 at Upstate University Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1970 in Cortland NY. Andy was a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Dryden High School in 1988 and then graduated from Tompkins County Community College. He had been employed with Suit Kote then began his own business, AP Builders. He enjoyed the outdoors especially snowmobiling, motorcycling, and skiing. His greatest joy was playing with his children. He is survived by his wife of 7 yrs. Stephanie VanSlyke Partis of Cortland, his sons Reid and Evan, and daughter Maria at home, his mother Stella Partis of Cortland, his brothers William (Carol) Partis of Groton, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Partis of Cortland, sister Susan (John) Morehouse of Cortland, his wifes family the VanSlykes, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father David Partis in 2009. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-8 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 am at the Grace Episcopal and Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Court St., Cortland NY with Father Peter Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Homer NY. . Contributions may be directed to Andys sister Susan Morehouse 11 Helen Ave., Cortland NY, who will be establishing a fund for Andys children. Stephanie, I am so so sorry for your loss. We all loved Andy and will miss him alot. I know that he loved you and the kids with all his heart. I have some great memories and he won't be forgotten.
