Brian (Bogie) VandeBogart Brian (Bogie) VandeBogart, 66, passed away suddenly on Friday. Brian was born on April 6, 1946 to his late parents Russel and Emma Mae Witty VandeBogart. Bogie served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a proud member of the VFW. He worked as a self employed painter for many years and was well known in the community. Was an avid patron of many local establishments. He lived life to the fullest and cherished his son, grandchildren and family. Bogie is survived by his son Brian Vandebogart of Cortland, and sister Connie Carr, grandchildren Aaron and Robert VandeBogart and several nieces and nephews and very long extended family friends. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by Terry VandeBogart, brother David, sister Sara Vandebogart. Calling Hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY with a gathering of family and friends at the VFW at 76 Main St. Cortland to follow calling hours.
