Obituary of C.Monzella Lanpher

C. Monzella Lanpher 92, of McGraw passed away September 17, 2012 at home. Monzella was born December 20, 1919 in Cornstalk, W.Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert P. and Cora E Hayslette Fisher. Monzella was a homemaker, and had owned and operated a Dairy Farm with her late husband on the McGraw-Marathon Road. Monzella was a member of the McGraw Methodist Church, a former member of the Night & Gales, Marathon PTA, South Solon Club, RSVP, McGraw Senior Club and had served on the Cortland County Task Force. She is survived by her daughter Marcia L (James T. Oliver) Crosby of Syracuse, her son Gary E (Mary) Lanpher of Chittenango, her grandchildren: Philip E. (Christine) Crosby of Liverpool, Eric E. (Sharon) Crosby of Syracuse, Dawn M. (Kevin) Lovell of Decatur, Michigan and Susan L (Donald) Voutsinas of Chittenango, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild In addition to her parents Monzella was predeceased by her husband Elwin, 4 brothers , 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland with the Reverend Jack Ford officiating interment will follow in Marathon Cemetery, Friends are invited to call Friday evening from 4:00 €“ 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
