Ernestine M. Batsford - Gruber 87 of Cortland passed away December 14, 2012 in Cortland Regional Medical Center. Ernestine was born August 14, 1925 in Westfield, PA the daughter of the late E. Randall and Susan DeMuth Davis. She had been employed as a Home Care provider for Cortland County and had previously been employed at SCM and Durkee Bakery. Ernestine was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ernestine is survived by her children Darlene Jarvis of Cortland, Ellie (Richard) Lake of South Carolina, Linda (Kim) Armstrong of Groton, Tina (Rick) Personius of Cortland, and Donald (Shelby) Batsford of Cortland, her brother Malcolm (Lulu) Davis of Homer and sister Mary Goff of Texas, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Ernestine was predeceased by her husbands Eugene Batsford and Wendell Gruber, and son William E Batsford Sr, Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. with the Rev. Dustin Hall officiating, interment will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
