Rose Y. Berardi Madonna 90 of Cortland passed away February 21, 2013 at home with her family by her side. Rose was born February 28, 1922 in Cortland the daughter of the late Dominick and Lauretta Maretta Berardi. Rose was a communicant of St. Anthonys church, a member of the Altar Society, and the Stella Dora Lodge. She was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City; she was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Rose is survived by her husband of 67 years Anthony Tony Madonna of Cortland, her sister Antoinette (James) Weinerth of Cortland, her sister in law Elsie Fabrizio of Cortland, several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Rose was predeceased by her sisters: Gilda Quattro, Mary Finkelstein, Angie Chiara, her brothers Thomas, James, Nicholas and Andrew Berardi. Her sister in laws Margaret Berardi, Bonnie Berardi, and Lousia Scalia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday at St. Anthonys Church 50 Pomeroy St with the Reverend Lucian Urbaniak officiating; interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery.
