He had lived with Aunt Mary and Uncle John for a bit while working in Syracuse. He and my mom would make regular trips to see them and sometimes stopped in Cortland. He got a kick out of visiting the store. I remember them visiting the lake now and then and Mary Annes great hospitality. Until a bit ago, I got Christmas cards from Mary Anne with notes. She always mentioned her daughter and wonderful grand children. I will remember all of you in my prayers at this sad time.Donna Brenish Whitaker Whitaker Cousin Dear Sue, I have many, many fond memories of your mother and what a nice person she was; always had a smile on her face. Sherry Hinkle Wright Dear Dexter family, When I read of Mrs. Dexter's passiing a whole bunch of emotions sweep through me. I am happy to say that Mrs. Dexter touched my life and the members of the Davis family from N. Church. I closed my eyes and could see myself opening the door to the market on a mission to get bread or milk for home. I was always greeted as family and enjoyed the trips I made. I remember your home and spending time with Suzanne during our summers off from school. I am sadden for your loss of family. I have been blessed to know the members of the Dexter family. Peace be with you, Joan Davis Niswender Dear Sue and Jim- I have many fond memories of your mom when my dad and I went to your store. It was always a fun time and your mom always was so friendly .
