Obituary of Laddie L Young

Ladd L. Young, 90, of Cortland, NY died peacefully at his home Saturday morning, August 24, 2013 of complications from diabetes. Born in Cortland, NY, August 25, 1922 to Royal and Mildred Young, Ladd was a life long resident of Cortland. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University and as a young man, worked for Sylvania. In later life, Ladd was a self employed handy man. Ladd loved nature and was an accomplished painter and photographer. Ladd was predeceased by his father, Royal Abbott Young, his mother Mildred Cogswell Young and his brother, Reginald A Young. Ladd is survived by his sister in law, Phyllis L Young of Holden, MA, his nephews Ronald A Young and Gregory C. Young and his niece Susan A Meyers all of North Carolina, his cousins Dorothy Williams and Shirley Rief of Cortland NY and second cousins Catherine Jenny, Barbara Field, Carol Williams, Anne Williams, John Williams and Robert Williams all of Cortland NY, Paul Williams of Syracuse NY and Mary Manning of Plano TX. I was so sad to hear of the passing of Ladd. I knew him through the temple wheere he worked for several years. He was a lovely, caring individual, liked by all. It is hard to imagine that he was 90 years old. Please know that I send you my deepest sympathy at this sad time. Eva Bregman ,
