Obituary of Albertina Ferro Lorenzo

Albertina Ferro Lorenzo, 91, of Cortland passed away peacefully surrounded by family March 30, 2018 at Cortland Park & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 9, 1926 in Italy the daughter of the late Antonio and Attilia Mantella Ferro. Albertina immigrated to America in 1930. She was employed with Crescent Corset until their closing then took employment with Wilson Sporting Goods retiring in 1983. Albertina was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church, Cortland. She is survived by her daughter Diane Call, her grandchildren Erik Burns, Leanne Call and Ashley Call, her great grandchildren Gregory, Alina, and Laelynn, her brother Salvatore "Sam" Ferro, her sister Jennie Emm, nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friend Ceila Penney. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Carol Anne Lorenzo and her sister Vincenza Starmer. A calling hour will be held Wednesday 9:30 am -10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrated 10:30 am at St. Anthony's Church, Pomeroy St., Cortland. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland. The Wright-Beard Funeral Home is serving the family.
