Bertha Heath Allen, 80, of Blodgett Mills NY, was surrounded by family when she went to be with the Lord April 12, 2018. She was born December 26, 1937 in Homer the daughter of the late Clarence and Eunice Finn Heath. Bertha was raised and educated locally. After marrying, she stayed at home to care for her children, then later to help with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening,and feeding the birds. She was a longtime member of the Church of Blodgett Mills. She is survived by her children Daniel (Lori) Allen. Eric Allen, Marie (Edward) Clark, Linda (Nelson Stull, Sheila "Sam" (John) Morse, Julie (Joey) Randall, her grandchildren Chris Stull, Steve Allen, Jean Keppler, Amanda Olmstead, Stacey Dean, Victor Stull, Laura "Petie" Allen, Samantha Randall, Wade Morse, Zach Randall, Jon Morse, Tommy Morse, great grandchildren Ben, Megan, Remi, Lucas, Mason, Zoey, Maddie, Kennedy, her siblings Al Heath, Vera Wothe, Camilla Cobb, Laura Aldrich, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Milton Allen, her son Richard Allen, her siblings Raymond, Kyle and Wilma. A memorial service will be held Tuesday 5 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045 with Michael Garber presiding. And Bert says "casual attire." Burial will be held at the family's convenience at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Per her wishes there are no calling hours.
