Edward W. Beebe, 72, of Cortland, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Syracuse, NY.

Edward was born on November 13, 1946, in Cortland, the son of the late Edward H. Beebe and Eunice Nicely Beebe.

A veteran of the United States Army, Edward served two tours in Vietnam.  He was employed by the City of Cortland Fire Department working as a firefighter, before retiring as Department Captain.  Edward was also an avid outdoorsman. 

He is survived by his children, Shawn (Matthew) Stefanski, Benjamin T. Beebe, and Christopher W. Beebe; his brothers Barry (Carol) Beebe, Terry (Eileen) Beebe; sisters Sheila Dellow and Patti Ostrander, and his grandchildren Michael, Shayne, Isabell and Luke.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 6, 2019 at the Wright-Beard Funeral Inc., from 1 to 3pm.
