Beatrice (Bea) L. Dodge-Burdgoff-Sanford, 74, of Cortland, N.Y., passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2019. Bea was born on August 20, 1945 to Willard A. Dodge and Thelma M. Powers.
Bea worked at NCC Industries, J.M. Murray Center, and McGraw Box. Bea enjoyed crosswords, bingo, and spending time with all of her grandchildren. Bea cherished every moment she got with her mother.
Bea is predeceased by her father Willard A. Dodge, her stepfather Seth T. Powers, late husband, Roger E. Burdgoff, Sr., her son Ralph Sanford, her two brothers Raymond W. Dodge and Harold R. Dodge, her step sister Joan Nadge, and the love of her life Donald L. Ellis.
Bea is survived by her mother Thelma M. Powers, her eight children Barbara (Greg) Blanchard, Roger (Dawn) Burdgoff, Donna (Chuck) Townsend, Rhonda Hamilton, Dave (Becky) Sanford, John Sanford, Linda (Richard) Moore, and Cindy (Scott) Sanford, sister in Law, Donna Dodge, four step children, Tom (Charlene) Powers, David (Sharon) Powers, Susan Powers, Marsha (Victor) Harvan and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 4, 2020 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, from 10-12pm with a funeral service to follow at 12.
