Marjorie F. Duncan, 99, of Cortland, NY passed away on Thursday May 27, 2021. She was born on October 17, 1921 in Cortland, NY, the daughter of Frank and Mildred Fiske. In 1939, she graduated from Cortland High School and then graduated from Syracuse Secretarial School in 1941. She worked as a secretary at Easy Washing Machine Corp. in Syracuse, NY for 3 years, and then worked at Brockway Motor Trucks in Cortland, NY. as a secretary for 19 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher for 10 years and served on the Board of Trustees for 2 years. In March 2009, she joined the United Presbyterian Church. She was also a very active member in the Cortland Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and served on the Board. She had over 10,000 hours of volunteer work. She was also a member of the Amaranth since 1953. Marjorie is survived by her son James W. Duncan (Debbie), her grandchildren Melanie and Lee Duncan, her great grandchildren William, Hannah, Alexandra, and Demetra, and several cousins. She is predeceased by her husband William Duncan in 2003. A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 3, 2021 at 1pm at the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Reverend Dave Johnson will be officiating. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
