Onolee A Dixon passed away on May 13, 2022. Onolee Anderson was born to Frank Anderson and Doris Lucas Anderson on January 20, 1921, in Panama, NY. She was the oldest of three daughters. Miss Anderson graduated from Jamestown High School and then Jamestown Community College. She married E. Paul Barrett in 1947. They moved to Norwich where they raised three children. From 1965 to 1981, Onolee worked as a Girl Scout Field Director. Onolee grew up with a love of the outdoors and traveling that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Camping was her way to travel all around the US. Paul Barrett died in 1988. In 1990 she married Mike Parks. After Mike's death, she fell in love again and married Thomas E. Dixon. Onolee was predeceased by her daughter, Anne Barrett Bond. She is survived by son, Blake Barrett (Ruth) of Deming WA, and a daughter, Gail B. Benedict (Clayton) of Cortland, NY, six grandchildren, two great grandsons and many much loved stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Services will be on May 21st at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY. Visiting hours will be from 2:00-2:45 followed by the funeral at 3:00 pm.
