Obituary of Melvin E. Tinker

Melvin E. Tinker passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022. He was a longtime resident and farmer on Brake Hill Road in Homer, NY, where he made a home and living with livestock, dairy, vegetables and meats for his family and friends. He was preceded by his wife Anna May and is survived by his 4 children, and many grand and great grandchildren. Throughout his life, Melvin was an avid gardener who took great pride in producing and caring for his garden. He will be remembered for his ability and passion to competitively grow massive pumpkins, and share his crops with friends, acquaintances, family and what were sold at the roadside stands. Always a hardworking man all of his life from sun up to sun down, in the barn, field or garden. He never asked for much, but he always provided much for others. He didn't talk much, however, when he did you listened as he was older, wiser and smarter. You will be truly missed for your love and care of others and your generosity and wisdom. Rest in peace. Your work is done. There are no services. Wright Beard is assisting the family with the arrangements.
