Obituary of David C. Sands

SANDS, DAVID C, 69, of Cortland, NY, went to be home with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on January 1, 1953 in Cortland, NY, the son of Hans and Thelma Sands. He graduated from Cortland High School in 1971 and worked at Pall Trinity until his retirement. His family will cherish his memory as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to many people. He is survived by many loving family and friends including his wife, Terry Sands, son, David (Angie) Sands, ex-daughter-in-law, Valerie Threatt, sister, Carolyn Sands, brother-in-law, Wes Morris, special sister-in-law, Robin (Dennis) Williams, grandchildren, Dylan Sands, Kayla Sands, Breannah Sands, Abigail Sands, Caleb Sands, Isaac Sands, and Hunter Sands, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded by his son, Jeremy Michael Sands, parents, Hans and Thelma Sands, and sisters, Toby, Christine Morris and Donna Abbey, and brothers, Eugene Sands and Don Sands. The burial will held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Glenwood Cemetery in Homer.
