Obituary of Lois Taraszkiewicz

Lois Taraszkiewicz, 89, of Ithaca, NY passed away on Tuesday July 5, 2022. She was born on May 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Carlton and Della Smith Elwood. Lois was a loving daughter, sister, step mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, and even made blankets for cancer patients. Lois and her husband were Jehovah Witnesses and she enjoyed visits from them as well. Lois is survived by her children Susan (Jeff) Bangs and Jan (Paula) Taraszkiewicz, her siblings Joyce Warren, Rollan (Nancy) Elwood, Lilla Towers, and Linda Withers, her grandson, great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Hieronim Taraszkiewicz, her daughter Rita Hallows, and her brother Russell Elwood. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 11, 2022 at 11am at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 184 Pleasant Grove Rd., Ithaca, NY.
