Edward Casterline Sr., 80, of Cortland, NY, lost his battle with Parkinson Disease on Wednesday July 27, 2022. He was born on February 12, 1942, the son of the late John and Eleanor Hawley Casterline. Edward was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His hobbies included watching Wheel of Fortune, working on cars, and helping work on microds. In his free time, Edward loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Throughout the past 20 years, Edward and Patricia went on several amazing cruises, including trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and every Caribbean island. He took pride in his employment as a Hammer Man at Brewer Titchener, where he worked for over 40 years. Edward was the founder and Vice President of the Country Music Park in Cortland. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. Edward is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Casterline, his children Edward Casterline Jr., Rob (Kristen) Casterline, and Melissa Barney, his siblings Ray Casterline, Mary Brown, Joyce (John) Marvin, and Lillian (Bob) Lindley, his grandchildren Joshua Casterline, Christian (Courtney) Casterline, Andrew (Jamie) Barney, Owen Barney, Dylan Casterline, and Kadyn Casterline, as well as his great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his siblings, Jimmy Casterline, Charles (Connie) Casterline, Helen (Leonard) Warfle, and his brother in law Wallie Brown. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
