Sharon B. Marshall, 73, of Cortland, NY passed away on Friday August 5, 2022. She was born on July 3, 1949, the daughter of the late Morris and Marion Conway Hallstead. Sharon was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grand mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed collecting crafts and old newspaper articles. Sharon loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her children Mark (Julie) Brown Sr., Daren (Colleen) Brown Jr., James (Heidi) Brown Sr., Scott (Tammy) Brown, and Dorris (Bill) Castine, her siblings Sherry (Gene), Mike (Judy), Sandy (Erick), Marvin (Darlene), Myron (Lisa), and Melvin (Leann), her 27 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings Morris Hallstead II and Sheila Fellows, her companion Daren Brown Sr., her grandchildren Mercedes Brown and Ashley, and great granddaughter Trinity.] A service will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 from 10:30-11:30am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. The burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Extended thank you to the administrator directors, Wendy and Elizabeth, and to the few nurses in the ICU who cared for her. Donations can be made to Loaves and Fishes, attention Kim Hill, 13 Court St., Cortland, NY.
