I have fond memories of listening to Mr. Perrine play the piano on Sunday afternoons, and his droll humor. I impart his witticisms to my kids often, the most used being, "That only does that so many times."

When I think of my uncle John, I remember a very intelligent, talented and classy guy. He lived with us when I was little for a short time and I remember the first time he brought aunt Pat over to meet us. I was around nine years old when they got married, and I remember, too, how exciting it was to be able to go to their wedding. My sister and I got fancy new frilly dresses with hats, and I think we had gloves too. The church seemed so big and I thought my aunt looked so beautiful. I also remember being very disappointed that I wasn’t allowed to go to the party afterward though!
Over the years we would visit each other as a family and then when I grew up and moved away, every time I would come back home to visit, I would make sure to go see my aunt Pat and uncle Johnny.
I haven’t been back to upstate New York in many years, but when I learned that my uncle was ill, I wanted him to know that I was thinking of him. So, while we hadn’t really stayed in close contact over recent years, I began to reach out and send little notes to him and to my aunt. I would include small items that I thought would bring him joy, like a funny book or postcard, or something yummy to eat. We even chatted on the phone a couple of times and my mom and dad, and I, got to zoom with him a few weeks ago and that was really awesome.
I know your heart is broken, Aunt Pat. My heart is broken for you. I hope it is some comfort to know how well thought of he was by many, many people.
Chris and Staci, Aaron and Amanda, and all of the grandchildren, I know how much you will miss your dad and grandfather. He lived his life in style. He accomplished so much and was so smart and articulate. A wonderful man!
With love from your niece and cousin, Vicki Geiger (Casey) Jackson

There are so many memories we have shared together as we were growing up. One of those memories was when our brother found an abandoned bicycle behind the bank where he used to work. We rode that bike all around Moravia, I was pedaling and steering and you would ride on the handle bars. The ride was going well until I waved at some one and we crashed, fortunately we wern't hurt. How ever we never rode like that again. Another memory was when we were in grade school sitting in our living, we just started laughing and the more we looked at each other the harder we laughed. This was annoying our father so he made me go in the bed room off the living room, but even though we couldn't see each other we kept on laughing. I all so enjoyed the many times we harmonized while you played the piano, which you played extremely well. It was fun singing at our family reunions and other events. As we got older I always enjoyed your beautiful flower gardens at your home. I think you were inspired some what by our mother who all so enjoyed gardening. It was always so special that the four of us used to celebrate our anniversaries to gather yours was the 29th and ours was the 30th . So many special memories... I miss you John.
