Douglas T Hollenbeck, 74, of Homer NY, passed away at his home on October 22, 2022. Doug was born August 3, in the Village of Homer to the late Bernard R. and Marguriete J Hollenbeck. Doug worked many years for the Village of Homer DPW, where enjoyed working in the community where he grew up. He was a friend to many and loved to make people smile and laugh. Doug was a wonderful husband, father, and bonus dad to many. He enjoyed hunting, archery, skeet shooting, camping, decorating for the holidays, playing Santa but most of all being with friends and family. Doug leaves behind his wife of 42 years Sue, daughter Margaret (Scott Robins) of Homer, a son Joseph (Mili) of Virginia, daughter Jillian (Dennis Baldwin) of Marathon, as well as four bonus children Melissa Graton, Brian D. Hollenbeck, Destany Knapp, and Kaidan Knapp. A sister Delores Stillman of South Carolina. His pride and joys granddaughters Charlotte (Jake) and Summer, grandsons Austen, Michael, Daniel, Andrew, great-grandson Theo, and great-granddaughter Addy. Two special friends Jim Marsh and Lee Bell. He was preceded by his parents and siblings Tony, Duane, Sally, and Rick. Calling hour will be on Sunday, October 30, 2022, 1-2 p.m. at the Homer Ave United Methodist Church, 30 Homer Ave Cortland, and services will follow
