I noticed often Barbara sitting alone in Cortland Walmart Store #1781. I went over introducing myself to her . That began our friendship. When our store had a scare, I looked after her as we were out in the cold waiting for our store to be cleared of the danger. I was able to get into my jeep where I put a warm Christmas sweater on her. I had other associates I shared sweaters to also. We were told we could go home hours later, but Barb didn't have her purse or her keys. We were invited to the Walden Place and we went with others standing outside for hours. I had my keys, but she didn't. I couldn't leave her. I stayed with her until she got her things and got into her car heading home. I wrote and kept in contact with her for years. I missed hearing from her. Had I known she had moved back to McGraw, I would have paid her weekly visits. My condolences to you all. I am unable to attend due to an injury..but my.thoughts are with you. She was a wonderful friend.
