Obituary of Judith Krypel

Judith Krypel, 78, of Cortland, passed away on January 30, 2023 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born on July 28, 1944 in Throop, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Agnes Serkosky. Judith was a long-time employee of the local Cortland Kmart. In her free time, she also enjoyed gardening, cooking enough food to feed an army, and caring for her family. Judith is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey Conway, Richard Conway, and Mark Krypel, and three grandchildren, Kayla Conway, Kimberlee Hollister, and Francis “Frankie” Krypel. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Francis Krypel. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 8, from 4 to 7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 9, at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 59 N Main St., Cortland. She will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Old Forge, PA.
