Donna Lee O’Brien Donna L. O’Brien was received by the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Guthrie Cortland Memorial Hospital, Misty Glen, surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of late Paul Thompson Sr. and Alice (Scouton) Thompson. Born in Cortland, NY. On March 18, 1940. Donna was predeceased by her two Brother’s Richard Thompson of Tennessee and Jere Thompson of Ohio and infant brother David Thompson. Her sister Janet (Floyd) Jones of Florida. Donna is survived by her Husband of 65 years Richard O’Brien of Cortland, NY. Her five children Kelly (Brian) Barber of Cortland, NY, Karen (Alan) Griffin of Cortland, NY, Kevin (Jane) O’Brien of Marathon, NY, Kurt (Melinda) O’Brien of Halifax, PA and Koreen O’Brien (Roger Benjamin) of Cortland, NY. Her brother Paul Thompson Jr. Donna also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. Donna was retired from being a home health aide in St. Petersburg, Florida. She also worked at Smith Corona and Highgate Manor in Cortland, NY. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her life was devoted to her family and friends. She had a love for flowers, music (singing), baking. She was commented on mostly about her blue eyes and white hair. Calling hours are planned for Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:45pm and Services will begin at 1:00pm. at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY. There will be a celebration for Donna at the McGrawville Baptist Church, 7 E Main St., McGraw, NY. 13101, following service.
