Obituary of Prudence J. Fellows-Marcey

Cortland - Prudence J Fellows-Marcey, 61, died of complications from kidney disease May 25th 2023 at St. Joseph's hospital in Syracuse, NY. She was born February 7th, 1962, in Cortland, daughter of William Fellows Sr. and Concetta (Berger) Ryan Prudy worked in the food and restaurant industry in her early adulthood. She married her husband Peter Marcey May 13th 1989. They celebrated 34 years of marriage in May. After marriage, Prudy transitioned to being a full-time homemaker and caregiver for her parents William and Connie as well as her stepfather Richard Ryan. She also provided childcare for the children of many and loved baking beautiful cakes for her friends. She was loved and adored by everyone that knew her. Wife to Peter, mother to Ryan, and also a second mother to many others. She is also survived by her brother William Fellows Jr., and sisters Patricia (Donald) Romer, Cheryl (Thomas) Michales, and Jeannie (Thomas) Grant as well as her extended family the Ryans of the Larry Ryan family. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched. According to her wishes prior to her passing, there will be no services held. The family of the deceased asks that those who wish to make a memorial contribution in her name do so to organizations funding research to fight cancer and kidney disease.
