The YMCA swim team was a huge part of our family's lives. Yvonne taught Megan to swim and then suggested at age 5 she join the swim team. We spent the next 13 years involved in the swim team where we shared several years with Chubby and Yvonne in FL at the "Y" Nationals. They were the best years. And Yvonne you got it started for us and so many other families. Thank you for what you did for children through the YMCA. You and your family are in our hearts and prayers. Chubby is one lucky guy to have you as his wife. And you left a beautiful family to carry on your memory. Fondly, Don, Linda and Megan Armstrong

Yvonne taught me how to swim! I went on to swim for the stingers. in college at Northwestern University and I taught lessons myself for some time. So sad to she that she’s gone - she definitely touched the lives of many!!

Chubby, my heart breaks for you and your family. I did not know your wife well but for years on my walks I would see her and she just always was so nice and had that great smile.
In this time of sadness I hope you can also feel happiness for the many wonderful memories y9u have of her.

Yvonne, such a sweet friend from early high school days. I always thought she was the prettiest girl in our high school class of 1955.
My deepest sympathy Chubby, to you and all the family.

What a beautiful lady, inside and out. She had the best smile, it lit up the room, and was a lot of fun to be around. Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss. We will miss her!

Yvonne, she was like a second mother to me. She took me in when I had injured myself riding a bike with her son Angelo. Helped me clean up my wound and contacted my parents who lived just down the street. You and your husband were my godparents.I remember spending lots of time at your house. I am so sorry for your loss. I know we had kind of lost touch in the years after me and my family moved to Pennsylvania but your family was never far from my mind when they mentioned Cortland. So many fond memories. I will miss her. Prayers to you and your family. Love D.j.
