Linda M. Stockton, age 75, of Cortland, NY, passed away on August 24, 2023. She was born in Auburn, NY on May 5, 1948 to the late Harry French and Mildred Jordan. She moved to Cortland in July 1962 to live with her brother after her mother passed away.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Harry French and Mildred Jordan, her brother David French, her two sisters Marlene French and Janice Lawn, her best friends Judy Bentley and Dick Bentley, and her beloved dogs Jake and Bodie.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Stockton of Goshen, NY and Jeffrey “Chip” Stockton of Cortland, NY.
She was employed for 8 years at the Cortland Holiday Inn and Beneficial Life Inc. for 29 and ½ years. Linda was a member of Cortland Elk Club #748 and a former member of the VFW, Willowbrook Golf Club, and Walden Oaks Country Club. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, the Paranormal, and golf.
