Adele Reed was a dear friend and fellow classmate at St. Mary's. We went in different directions after High School, but I was amazed when I discovered that she was a registered nurse at the hospital where I was born. My husband and I stopped by to visit her in New York City, and then again in Cortland when she returned home. She was always a very gracious hostess. It is with deep and sincere sadness that I learned of her death. She was a beautiful person, inside and out and I will forever miss her.

I was also a nursing school classmate of Adele. She was such a kind and gracious person. I last saw her in 2019 at our 50th reunion and enjoyed catching up with her. She was the same lovely soul and will continue to be fondly remembered by her classmates.
Sending my prayers and sincere sympathy to all her family and friends
May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Adele's passing. My memories of Adele go back to nursing school, sharing the struggles of classes and clinical rotations. Adele was always there to talk. After graduation, we shared an apartment before she moved to NYC. She had a great sense of humor and "called life as she saw it".
We lost touch over the years so it was great to see her again at our 50th Nursing School reunion!
This is quite a loss for Adele's family and friends. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I went to nursing school with Adele
She was always so kind and caring. She often spoke about living in NYC and I am so glad she got to live her dream. Also very happy we were together at the 50th reunion.

Ray and I shared many happy times with Adele. I remember riding our bicycles to the A&W and enjoying a root beer float when we were young. We even double dated to a dance. Adele went with Ray’s friend, Lee Pyle. We had a great time.
Later in life, we enjoyed meeting her at the Merry-Go-Round Theater in Auburn for the musicals. Adele also came to two of our family reunions. She made the most amazing baked bean dish and baked chocolate chip cookies. My cousins still talk about those delicious beans!!
Another time, Adele went camping with the Hulbert clan. We had a huge campfire and toasted marshmallows and made s’mores.
Ann, she talked about you and your family often. She was so happy to have you close by, and she used to show me pictures of your children. Ray and I are so sorry for your loss. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless
Anne and Ray Hulbert

I've know Adele since we attended St. Mary's school. She was always quick to lend a hand, an ear or
advice. We just celebrated a combined reunion for class of 1966 with SMS and CHS. It was great to
work with her and visit with all of our classmates. I will miss you, my friend. Katie Quinlan

I met Adele at the recent Cortland High School/St. Mary's High School 57th Class of '66 Reunion. Although I only knew her briefly, I could tell she was a warm, friendly, enjoyable person to be around, as well as being a beautiful, youthful person. I am very glad a got to know her. My sincerest condolences go out to her family for the loss of this lovely person. Stephanie Passeri-Densmore

Dear Ann and your family, It is with great sadness that I pen my thoughts about Adele. It was a huge shock to get the news of her death. How wonderful it was to see Adele at our class reunion. She looked so beautiful and so young. Only our Lord knew she would be leaving us this soon. Adele and I stayed close over the years and she was a special friend. I will miss her terribly. I send my sincere and deepest sympathy to you. Adele talked about you all often and loved you very much. Mary Alverson
