Obituary of Linda J. McKinney

Linda Jean "Louly" McKinney, 59, of Cortland, NY passed away on Sunday August 27, 2023. She was born on May 13, 1964 in Endicott, NY. Linda was a loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend. She served in the National Guard during the 1980s. Linda was a hard worker and always had multiple jobs. She enjoyed cooking, scratch offs, going to the races, drinking her beer and wine, and she loved her family fiercely. Linda is survived by her son Michael Chamberlain, her father Harold Chamberlain Jr., her siblings Harold E. Chamberlain III, George (Vickie) Chamberlain, Holly Uzailko, Dorothy Amo, Gladys (Shawn) Larson, and Barbara (Walter Thomas) Chamberlain, her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Linda is predeceased by her husband Ross McKinney, her mother Shirley Chamberlain, her brother Carl Chamberlan, her nephew Thomas Max Uzailko, her great nephew Maverick Russell Thomas Raymond, and her father and mother-in-law George and Winifred McKinney. Calling hours will be held on Friday September 1, 2023 from11am-12:20pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. A memorial service will follow at 12:30pm, with Rev. Dave Johnson officiating. Burial of ashes will follow in the Cortland Rural Cemetery, 110 Tompkins St., Cortland, NY. Linda was a strong and independent women. She battled with COPD for several years but sadly lost her battle. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
