Obituary of Karen Nora Phalen

Karen Phalen, 72 of Glen Haven Road in Scott, NY passed away at home on November 7, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Cortland County growing up in Cortland, NY graduating from Cortland High School. She lived in Scott her married life of 46 years. Karen retired after several years with surveying companies in Cortland. Karen enjoyed gardening, animals, people and having a beer or two with friends. She especially loved boating and golfing with dear friends Ray and Karen Coon. Karen was predeceased by her mother and brother. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Phalen, several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no services. A gathering of family and close friends will be held at a later time.
