Obituary of Beth Bouwens

Beth Bouwens, 73, of Homer, NY passed away on Saturday November 11, 2023. She was born on January 9, 1950, the daughter of the late Robert and Doris King (Friedemann). Beth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church, serving in Caton, NY and Moravia, NY. Prior to becoming a pastor, Beth taught Special Education at the North Rose Wolcott School District. She was passionate about mission work locally as well as around the world, and also loved traveling across the globe. Beth is survived by her sons Jay (Mary Jane) Bouwens, and Aaron (Sarah) Bouwens, and her siblings Joy King, Suzanne King, Robert "Bob" King Jr., Richard King, and her grandchildren Jason, Daniel, Rachel, Leah, and Hannah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings, Kathy Tice and Gordie King. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Liverpool First United Methodist Church, in Liverpool, NY at 1:00pm, reception to follow.
