Obituary of Dontae L. Scott

Dontae Scott, A devoted father of Damien, Dylan, Mason, Syncere, and Noah, passed away on March 1, 2024 in Cortland, New York. He was born on February 8, 1986, to Ruth Stone and William Scott. Surviving siblings, Twin brother Doninique, brother Sean, sisters Chante, Danielle, Tiffany, Candice, and Brandy. Dontae was a hardworking individual who dedicated his time to his family and his job at Crown Park. He was a loving partner to Heather Rivers and a caring father to his five children. Dontae was known for his kind heart and his willingness to help those in need. Aside from his work and family, Dontae had a few hobbies that brought him joy. He loved smoking weed and drinking twisted teas, playing GTA, grilling outside, and spending time with his kids. Dontae was always the life of the party and had a great sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. with a funeral service to begin at 3pm. Dontae will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts he touched. Rest in peace, Dontae Scott.
