Obituary of E.J. Stevens

E.J. Vincent Stevens, 49, of Truxton NY, born February 19, 1975 to Vincent and Dawn Keith Stevens went to be with the Jesus March 13, 2024 at his home after a brief illness. He is survived by his mother Dawn Stevens, his brother Eldon (Sarah Vigilotti) W. Stevens, four nieces and nephews Luke, Codie, Hope and Hoyt Stevens, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Vincent in 2020. E.J. was very proud of obtaining the rank of Eagle in Boy Scouts despite learning challenges. He enjoyed being a member of the Truxton Fire Department and the Skyline Amateur Radio Club. He loved riding his UTV and mowing. He enjoyed his family the most. E.J. was a kind and gentle soul with a ready smile and helpful hand and will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Calling hours will be Saturday 9:30 am -10:45 am with a funeral service to begin 11 am with Rev. Matthew Smith officiating at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Burial will be at the Truxton Cemetery. The family would like to express their thanks to the Truxton Fire Rescue Dept., the Cortland County Sheriff's Office and the Tully Ambulance for their help during this difficult time.
