Obituary of Arvilla "Tillie" J. Pease

Arvilla "Tillie" Pease, 94, passed away March 12, 2024 at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation, Syracuse NY. She was born December 17, 1929 in Virgil NY, the daughter of the late Frederick and Bertha Warren Lang. Tillie was raised and educated in Virgil graduating from Virgil Central High School. After high school she attended Central Business institute in Syracuse receiving a business degree. She then came back to the area working locally at a Cortland bank and then Smith Corona Corp. After marrying in 1957, she moved to Genoa and then to Delhi, NY, where her twin daughters were raised. After divorcing, she moved back to the Cortland area, working for Cortland County Home Care as a home health aide for about 20 years. She is survived by her daughters Ida Pease and Sonya Pease, several nieces, and nephews. A memorial lunch will be provided at The Virgil United Methodist Church April 5 at 11:30am, followed by a graveside service at 1pm.
