Obituary of Edward W. Mahler

Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward (Ed) W. Mahler born December 30th, 1943 has rejoined our lord and savior on September 21st, 2024. Ed was born in Long Island to John and Madeline Mahler and was a bonus son to Raymond Adams. He had the honor of having a large and loving family with a devoted and loving wife of 32 years Roberta (Marcey) Mahler, 2 children Brian (Lori) Mahler and Jessica (Rich) Maricle, Grandson Chase Curtis, Granddaughter Jenna Curtis, and siblings John Mahler, Raymond Adams, and Kathy Darrah. To say that Ed was surrounded by family was an understatement with additional bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers. He will be especially missed for his story telling, big belly laugh, his incredible knowledge base and genius inventions. He had many special talents and jobs along the way. His favorite was working with children at the children's hospital in Kings Park Long Island. He found great joy in carpentry, metal artwork, inventing and improving what could be improved. He especially loved seeing the joy in kid's expressions with the Santa and Easter bunny parties. He had beautiful memories of horses, trail rides along with his houseboat adventure and the cat that jumped ship. We will honor his memory with stories on Thursday September 26th between 4-7 pm at the Homer Elks Club in Homer NY. Please feel free to join us in his celebration of life.
