Today I found out my neighbor and friend Tom Compagni passed away. My heart hurts. Tom was a great person. Anytime I needed anything I could count on him. I sold him his beautiful home years ago. I have a story about it I’ve told to many but right now I just want to focus on Tom. You just don’t know when life will end so enjoy every day you can. I will miss knowing Tom is just down the street. I will miss his various photos of his culinary adventures. God Bless you Tom. You will be missed by many.

I met Tommy over 15 years ago through my sister, Nichole. We immediately hit off. I have had the blessing to enjoy so many gatherings with him at my sisters. I also was lucky enough to have him at my own gatherings in Homer. My son, Blake had become close to him as well in the last few years too. Tommy will be deeply missed, there is a hole in the crew for us. I love him and always will. I am thankful for all the time we had together. I love you Tommy! I am so sorry for the family. My heart is with you all.
Sincerely,
Stacee Sholar

My deepest condolences to Tom’s family. What a shock to learn of his sudden passing.
I worked with Tommy at Raymond for 17 years.
He always wore a great smile and would stop by the front office to see what there was to eat!
The one memory I have and still laugh and talk about today…
A few years ago, I booked a flight for Tom to fly to Sweden on business. He was to meet up with a colleague in Toronto and together fly on to Linköping, Sweden.
It was a weekend and I was “Glamping” with three girlfriends in the Fingerlakes region. This included a spa package. I was in the middle of a massage, when one girlfriend bursted into the room to say Tommy is on your phone. I was scantly dressed when answering the phone. Tom had missed his flight to Toronto, but took a later one, he arrived in Toronto but couldn’t find the colleague so he got onto a plane back to Syracuse! I couldn’t believe he had flown back instead of contacting his colleague!
I rebooked his flight and eventually he ended up in Sweden and I finished up with my massage. We laughed about it all weekend!
He will be sorely missed. RIP Tommy…

I have known Tom for the last 15 years. He was such an amazing person. I have so many memories with him. The day of my house warming party he bought me a hibiscus plant and planted the plant mid party in my back landscape and the plant lives on to this day (8 years later). I have shared a photo of how beautiful this plant is when it blooms very August. I think of him every time it blooms as it reminds me so much of Tom and how he lived his life. If anyone would like a bud of this plant I would to share this with you. I will miss and love Tom everyday!

Tommy will always be remembered for his quick whit, warm smile and dimeanor, and for how much he loved his family and friends. He enjoyed a good challenge whether it be historical facts, politics or sports related! His love for food, cooking rearranging his furniture, dry sense of humor, and how much he cared about his friends and and family qualities I will remember fondly.
My deepest sympathies go out to his Mom, sister Stacey, brothers and for his extended family and many dear friends. RIP, Tom. I’ll miss you. Say hello to my Dad and cheers to living life on your own terms!

I have worked with Tom for 3 years and he was nothing short of helpful, smart and funny. He was down to earth and often said what we were all thinking. He made me laugh and was a great coworker. Rest peacefully, friend. Until we meet again.
