Violet and I were deeply saddened by Diane's passing. She and Burt are life-long friends of ours. Her parents and her step father and Burt's parents were life-long friends of my parents. They were more than friends, they were family. Diane was one of my best friends from the moment we enrolled in Kindergarten 'til we graduated from McGraw Central School. The friendship continued to grow for the rest of our lives. Violet and I will forever hold Diane and Burt in our hearts. I am especially grateful for the help, the kindnesses, the love, and the caring that she and Burt extended to my parents and my Aunt Jamelia during the final years. God Bless Diane and Burt. God bless the Abdallah family.

I worked for many years with Diane at the Cortland Nursing Home back in the 70’s and 80’s. She was such a wonderful, caring nurse and became a friend. I moved away but when I came home to visit I would go to Walden Place to see her and we’d laugh about our times together. RIP Diane.

Dear Burt and Family,
Very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed getting to know you and Diane. I had some lovely conversations with her when I worked in the CTE Office at McEvoy BOCES and I got to know you both at The Pond in Summer Hill at the dish to pass suppers and camp fire gatherings with Bill, Kathy, Gary and Peg, Sharon and Charlie and so many others who showed up for happy hour and supper.
